mvogel Posted December 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2022 When we book regular cruises, we often get discounted pricing, cruise credit and other benefits depending on which travel agent you use. When you book one of these Norwegian coastal voyages up to Kirkenes, is there similar pricing dynamics? Or does everyone pay the website rates? hallasm Posted December 13, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2022 Hurtigruten and various TAs have different offers - often with flights included in the price. My experience is also that there can be a large price difference for the same journey on different Hurtigruten web pages (.no, .com, .au, .co.uk and more). Check the price on the various websites - you can either book the cheapest or challenge the local office and try to get the journey for the same price. Havila is still in the start-up phase and has just with a two-year delay put all four of their ships into operation. All Havila ships are new and my experience is that prices are generally lower than Hurtigruten. The route and timetable are exactly the same for the two companies. Havila crews come from Hurtigruten so they are familiar with the conditions along the coast. In general, it is always a good idea to shop around and compare prices from different travel agents before booking a cruise. Have fun comparing prices. 1
