Cruiseingbug Posted December 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2022 I heard that on the Escape there is the Taste dining room, but I heard there was a secondary (smaller) room that is down some stairs. Has anyone seen this room or ate in this room? How bug is it? How many tables?seating?service?

According to the NCL website (Explore-Cruise Ship- Escape- View Ship- What's On Board), the main dining rooms (Taste, Savor) are on Deck 6 across from each other. It does say that connected to Taste there is a small private dining room. It does not give any more information than that. I am assuming that it could hold large family gatherings, convention dinners or something like that).
Rare CaptainBazz Posted December 23, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 23, 2022 @Cruiseingbug...it is called 'The Private Room at Taste'...from the pictures I have seen it is small and has about 6-8 large tables... I do not know who can book it but I am sure someone here can give more info. See picture:
romalley99 Posted December 23, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2022 Back in 2019 the Escape Team and Officers gave us a brilliant party in the Private Room at Taste. It was marvelous. We were able to order from any specialty restaurant onboard (mix and match appetizers, entrees and sides, even!) and then surprised us with a nearly 25lb espresso cheesecake cake! It was one of the highlights of my life, seriously. This was my only time dining in this area. I do believe if you have a large enough party, you CAN reserve this space. It has it's own separate galley down there, and before the pandemic, they were looking to convert this space into an additional specialty restaurant since it is so underused... Onda, I believe. It never came to fruition because of the setback from the pandemic.
