Thanks for sharing! I've had the 2014 Tensley Syrah and rated it as Very Good to Excellent. I don't think I've had Ehret but I've had a number of other bold and intense red wines from Knights Valley that I've rated very highly. I don't think I've had either of the other two, but they look like great wines.  I sure wish they had not put The Salty Dog Gastropub in place of Vines Wine Bar. I've been searching the various bars to find which, if any of them, have some well structured bold red wines by the glass. I've found that a lot of them have Duckhorn Paraduxx by the glass even though it is not on their wine list by the glass. The Take Five Jazz Lounge has it. A number of bars also have the Langmell Valley Floor Shiraz, Silverado Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grigich Hills Merlot by the glass even though most of them list it as only by the bottle on their wine menus.

I've been drinking the Duckhorn Paraduxx with a few glasses of Silverado here and there.  Any other red wines by the glass you deem worthy? I believe I saw a Caymus @ some point...

Continuing Day 2:
At 11 we went to the enrichment presentation Knights of Rock by Leo Rossi. He's a fantastic speaker. It was a really great presentation on being a roadie and stage hand for the rock bands of the seventies and particularly for Fleetwood Mac.
He also gave a very moving tribute to his son that didn't leave a dry eye in the house.
We plan to attend all of his presentations.

After the presentation we headed to the MDR for lunch. The menu looked really good. The Thai hot and sour soup was particularly delicious. We also had the tomato mozzarella salad, the soy-glazed prawns,  the carbonara rigatoni which was excellent, and the mixed grill plate. Hubs missed the fact there was a veal kidney on there and the look on his face when he ate it was priceless. Dessert was an unremarkable apple turnover which was dry, stale and mostly tasteless.  Service was very slow and lunch took about 90 minutes.  It was super busy, so not surprising.

Tonight was Officers Gala night, so we got gussied up and headed down to Good Spirits and the Piazza to listen to music and watch the Officer introduction by our CD Armando.

Headed to dinner in MDR and ended up at a new table, still nice location with much better serving team.  They were actively working together to take care of their section.  I forgot to take a picture of the menu thanks to those pre-dinner drinks.  But we ordered the walnut-crusted goat cheese salad, the mango mimosa soup which was absolutely fantastic, the bacon potato soup, and we both had the beef tenderloin medium rare.  The meat was cooked perfectly and was tender and delicious.

We skipped dessert to head to the Vista Lounge to see the comedian Miguel Washington.  He was hilarious.. my 24K Margaritas told me so.

Headed over to Take 5 to listen to the jazz ensemble for a bit, then called it a night as my drink package had gotten quite a workout.

Medallion Net, a little slow but works fine.

We were able to stream a show on Hulu so

all is good. Medallion App works but occasionally

drops the Internet connection.

Crooners Bar last night at 6;15 was full but we were able to get seats. Service was slow and our waitress was apologetic.

Skagway dining room was good. Dinner was typical and

service was very good. We asked if we could reserve our table for 7pm so the hostess put our room number down. We will see what happens tonight. In the past our request for the same table has been granted.

Now the VERY annoying part, our cabin midship has a constant clicking noise. When I see our neighbors on either side of us I will ask them if they hear it also. When we see the cabin steward i will bring it to his attention. I can’t believe that we are the first to hear this noise so I’m thinking it can’t be fixed.

I also had a clicking noise and it was driving me bat s..t crazy.    Turns out the clicking in my room was on my balcony door.  I shut the door, but didn't put the handle in the down position (to firmly lock it).    It was worse in rougher water.   It was such an easy fix after a couple of days of torture.

Glad you were able to find the source of your clicking noise and fix it. I talked to our neighbors and they said they also heard clicking but they are skeptical the rolling of the ship was causing the problem.

Had one on a cruise this summer which turn out to be a chair on my neighbors balcony vibrating against the partition.

You should have been on the Ruby in November in the rough sea going to Hawaii.   It sounded like the ship was falling apart it creaked so badly.    I kinda liked the sound, but I like the rough weather too.

The Langmeil Valley Floor Shiraz is quite good. They have it at Crooner's and some other bars by the glaas. They have my favorite Italian wine, Amaroni, at the Crown Grill Bar by the glass. Grgich Hills Estate is always good. They have his Merlot by the glass at the Crown Grill Bar. Grgrich is the winemaker that made one of the wines that won "The Judgement of Paris" that put Napa on the map in the 1970s. He played a cameo role in the movie "Bottle Shock".

If you order a drink using the Medallion App in the Princess Theater, can they actually find you? We once ordered a drink a few years ago using the Medallion App while in a big theater and we saw the server walk in without a clue of our location. I was able to flag them down.

I don't know if they deliver in the theater or not anymore.  I haven't seen one enter at all either before or during the 3 shows I've attended this cruise.

Thank you for this little treasure trove of info (I forgot to add Grgrich to my list of regulars while dining in CC)! As to the wine tasting, I've attended several in the past but have yet to sign up for Sunday.  I have the Premier Package and am left wondering if the wine tasting is worth the cost of admission?
