Gelato / YC

Splurging and giving YC a try for the first time. We've seen differing discussions on the availability of gelato. 

Our question is this, when booked into YC, is gelato from the gelato shop included within the cruise fare or is it always an extra cost item?

It used to be included on certain ships but now it is an extra charge. The butler can sometimes "surprise" guests with free gelato but if you're walking through the ship, you will be charged. Back in the day, Yacht Club guests would not be charged outside of the Yacht Club.

Sadly it is not, Venchi's are an independent contractor-so they do not offer it anymore. WE received it is 2017, 2018 bot no more!

 

In the YC they may walk around the pool deck in the afternoon with some complimentary gelato... But its not everyday...

Ask at the YC bar on the pool deck and they will gladly get you some for free!
