Haven Tipping vs. Auto-gratuity

It is my understanding that Haven staff do not receive any funds from the auto-gratuity. If you are staying in the Haven and have no intention of using the ships other facilities (other than the specialty restaurants and bars, which are assessed tips separately), would you have the auto-tip removed and just use it to tip Haven staff?  My last cruise (which was pre-covid) I stayed in the Haven and paid the auto-gratuity and tipped the Haven staff (butler, concierge, bartenders, room steward).

I don't know why that is your understanding.

Only butler and concierge are not part of DSC. (Bartenders in Haven (like any bar) gets from beverage package pool, and steward gets from DSC)

Steward, Haven restaurant staff, behind the scenes, etc. all are part of DSC.

Removing them does effect people you could not tip in person, just like it would if you removed them if you stayed outside the Haven.
