UTV on your own?

Has anyone rented a UTV and toured the island on their own, not with a guided tour?  if so, how'd it go? Did you have a map of off road areas, POI's etc?

We are thinking of this for our March Cruise after reading a lot of reviews of the group tours. Island is small so seems like an easy thing to do. Just haven’t decided if we want a UTV or Jeep

There is a guy on YouTube that lives there. He does a few videos. It is worth a watch for the UTV. In the recent video there were two newbies to the UTV. It got stuck and they were doing EVERYTHING wrong to get it unstuck. Just know what to do when you have one.

We just did this in October, we rented from Ruff Riders. Our UTV's were waiting for us right outside the port, we drove all over the island, stopped for as long as we wanted where we wanted. We created a list of places we wanted to see ahead of time and used Google Maps to get around.

Do you have a list of places you liked and others that may not be worth it? Also, how did Google Maps work with your phones internationally?

I'm really interested in this as well.  I own ATV's and UTV's and would love to try it out in Aruba.  If we wanted to stop at the beach for an hour or so during our day and park the UTV would it be safe to park somewhere?
