Celebrity Edge Wi fi

Leaving next week on the Edge.    I have purchased the Basic Wi-fi with the Elite discount.  On the cyber sale I purchased the premium upgrade voucher.    I’m starting to question if I the Premium Wi-fi is necessary. I don’t plan on streaming just checking email, latest news etc.  Has anyone just used the Basic and found it to be sufficient.

The basic was very slow it took a long time to get the newspaper to load, posting  or emailing pictures was difficult.  It did vary by the ships location and also the time of day.

 

We were later on the Beyond after Starlink was installed and it wasn't much better.

If you only paid $10 for the voucher for the entire sailing, def just use it; don’t think twice about it

I have used basic internet from my phone for text and email numerous times and it has been sufficient. Using the workstations in the iLounge is a different story. Responses there are usually very slow. Never understood why.

Basic on Edge will probably make you crazy.  Last cruise it wasn’t fast enough to stream on premium.  Recommend premium.
