Shore Excursions Recommendations not purchase though Carnival

We are going on the Carnival Horizon Ocho Rios Grand Cayman and Cozumel 

 

Im looking to book shore excursions for these destinations I rather go through local shore excursion businesses. Anyone have any they recommend or used in the past?

If you click on the Forums link at the top of the page and scroll down you will see the Ports of Call forums.  The Caribbean section has forums for all of those places that is full of great info on things to do, places to see and transportation.

once you get off the ship, you will find many tour operators hawking their tours.  Research what you want to see or where you want to go, then look for a tour that will do what you want.  Many times, you can arrainge for a private tour with the same company.  Just make sure to get the final price up front.  Don be afraid to say no thank you of the price is too high ( they just might run after you and give you a lower price)
