Casino and other Great Rates

From time to time I noticed great rates being offered by Princess.  Although we are elite members, we are never offered any significant rates, other than the general advertised generic "sales" throughout the year.  How long, how often, what games do we need to play in the casino before being one of the chosen ones?   Thanks for any input.😂😂😂

I am only gold level and tend to play more table games than slots, but I am by no means a high roller lol.  I play the lower tables ($10 usually) but do tend to sit for a couple hours each night.  My preferred game is Ultimate Texas Holdem but will sometimes play blackjack or 3 card poker.  I got an offer a few months ago and was able to snag a mini suite on the Discovery for $599 pp (before taxes or perks.)  Not sure I did anything special to be sent offers.

you will get a variety of answers.  Some people play $20 a day and they get offers, others play way more -  our last cruise a player next to me had over 35,000 pts - I believe it takes betting $3.00 to get one point. - go figure.

Everyone has a different budget - we get offered a free cabin - my husband will get a free balcony and I usually get a free inside - we book the balcony, get the princess plus included in the offer, and get casino free play.  We then budget our daily amount we will play (or lose).  last cruise I was up $10 the first night, down $10 the second night, and then, .... lost.  Final day I hit over $900 and it covered my total losses.  My husband hit over $1,000 and played on it for the cruise.

after playing, on the last day of the cruise you will receive a card under your door with a thank you and an offer to come back - you have 6 weeks to book a new cruise with the offer and 6 months to take that cruise.

husband got a free inside, princess plus and $150 free play

me - free inside, no princess plus and $250 free play

we usually do not book with these offers, because we have cruises already booked in the near future and these don't work for us.

since we do not pay for the cabin, in some cases the cost of the cabin can run over $4,000 and we never gamble that much, so if you are paying $4,000 for your cabin and we pay nothing, but lose $2,000 total - who is ahead?

So true.  I hope one day to be offered a free cabin.

Honestly, I just asked for it to be applied to our Princess account.  Approximately three years ago I mentioned to our PVP that HAL gave us a very favourable casino rate and that Celebrity and HAL sent us offers for “free” casino sailings.  She said she would ask about it.  A few minutes later she called back to say we now have a casino rate discount and would be receiving “free” offers.  Viola!  We rarely gamble much, a few dollars a day at most.  We get inundated with email offers for these cruises since then!

For Princess, it is for every $2 gambled, you get one point - that is on the slots as I am well aware.....we get comp cruises a lot - the problem is calling and trying to book them . At present , I have been on hold for over 4 hours.
