CBP Facial Recognition Port of Tampa

We're on the Carnival Pride out of Tampa next Sunday - does anyone know if all 3 terminals at Tampa have CBP facial recognition technology for debarkation?

I returned from a 7 night cruise out of Tampa in November 2022.  I enjoyed expedited debarkation using a Porter ... and I don't recall facial recognition technology being used.  Do you have a concern about being asked to submit to facial recognition?  Or just asking for general information purposes?  Thanks.

According to Customs and Border Protection port of Tampa is on the list.

In Tampa on a Celebrity cruise they asked to look at the passport and then had us look into a camera.

FYI, I assume you are asking because Face Recognition might speed disembark time.

 

The real problem with Tampa is occasionally they shut the port due to fog so your disembark might be delayed 4 to 6 hours or more.

 

Make sure you have flexibility in your disembark time.
