cusematt4 Posted February 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2023 (edited) Hi - does anyone know if Royal Caribbean broadcasts the March madness games? Do they even get the channels with the games? I may be going on the freedom of the seas over the first weekend of March madness, and some sport fans are concerned about not being able to watch the games. Will playmakers have the games on, or do they only get a limited espn channel or two? Thanks! Edited February 8, 2023 by cusematt4
cusematt4 Posted February 8, 2023 Author #2 Share Posted February 8, 2023 Does anyone know if this article from a few years ago has an impact on March madness coverage? Royal Caribbean is adding more TV sports coverage to its cruise ships Digital Video Systems will provide expanded high-definition sports coverage on select Royal Caribbean ships, with more getting the additional offerings next year. this article was from 2020, so I’m wondering if 3 years later there are more sports and March madness coverage
lenquixote66 Posted February 8, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2023 I have yet to hear of a cruise ship televising the NCAA tournament. I personally would never cruise during the tourney. If the cruise is a must then there is always the DVR option.
smokeybandit Posted February 8, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2023 There will definitely be games on. They aired CBS-owned NFL games, so there will be at least one March Madness game
mramella Posted February 8, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2023 We were on Wonder of the Seas during last year's March madness (Thursday, March 17th and Friday, March 18th, 2022). It was the second ever sailing of Wonder 🙂. There was usually only one game on at a time. In other words, it was not like your typical sports bar where every TV had a different game on. I did not ask if they could put multiple different games on.
