Discovery princess cabin question

Hi, it has been a few years since our last cruise and wondering if cabins are ready when you arrive?  Wife and I are in a suite but rest are in regular balcony. Thanks!

Well, it depends when you arrive.  Last week on Discovery, rooms were ready and open by 1:00pm

They usually get the suites ready pretty fast.  We’ve usually been able to just drop off our carryons, throw in the closet, if the steward is still working on the room.

 

I’d just plan on having lunch or a drink and then return to your cabin.  Maybe stop by your muster station to checkin, takes 2 mins.

They are usually ready pretty darn quick; however your luggage may not yet have arrived.

We were in a mini suite in July and full suite in October on the Discovery.  Both times they said that they would be ready at 1 but feel free to drop off your carry on luggage in your room while you enjoy the ship.  In October they announced around noon that the cabins were ready.  In December it was ready when we went to it, right after noon.  Both times we got on the ship before 11 and went straight to Gigi's where we enjoyed lunch before heading to the room.
