LGB Port - Looking for Best Marriott Hotel

I have a free night certificate for Marriott. So, would like to book a Marriott hotel for our pre-cruise hotel in September.  Looking for best location to walk to shops/restaurants etc.  Only 2 of us. Me and my SIL.  Seems there are 3 to 4 in the area.  Just not familiar with the area and what the best one would be. Thanks.

For me, the Residence Inn on Queensway (as in Queen Mary). It is a bit of a walk to Shoreline Village, but a terrific hotel with great views.

After that I'd choose the Renaissance Downtown Long Beach, then the Courtyard.

Is there a free trolley that goes around Long Beach?

looks like it's just friday-sundayAs i recall there is a stop at the queen mary which is short walking distance to the carnival pier.

Yes!  Thank you!  That was it.  Darn we are there mid week.  Otherwise, this would’ve have been great for my elderly mom.

this started recently in downtown long beach. It is strictly the downtown area only, so doesn't go over to where queenmary is. it is free. kind of a free uber like service but in golf carts. check the service map for more info

looks like this one is just thursday-sunday.

Wow!  This is a great service.  We’ll be there Tuesday/Wednesday so we’ll miss this one too.   But I’ll keep the info for future trips.  Thank you!
