1. West coast has potential if Carnival remembered they can send their ships another direction then south, Monterey is gorgeous, San Diego, Santa Cruz, and many other American cities that have little no novelty to Americans on vacation and top it off with a token stop in Ensenada . 2. It may be West coast. 2027 is a big year for so-cal. The planned completion of the Brightline west, will possibly allow more people to cruise from southern Nevada if they make it convenient enough. If Carnival or a private company offers reasonably priced transfers from Rancho Cucamonga, or Union Station it will be pretty cool. 3. It would allow carnival to possibly seasonal a vista class between SF, Seattle, and LA. Why kid myself SO-Cal is not getting the new Excel, they will replace the radiance with a vista if anything. EDIT: I don't think west coast cruises are for seasoned cruisers. I think the purpose is to lure new people into it then get them to book on a different one after they enjoy it. It could explain the low prices and the heavy focus carnival keeps on it.

There is no option for a transfer from HOU or IAH to the port. However, there is an option for the other way around port to the airport. I am wondering is this normal or does this mean i have to find another way to port from airport. I would normally do uber, but with my mother it is close to impossible to find an uber that can take a mobility scooter so that rules that out. Some cabs may have it but from the airport to the port it is extremely expensive ~300$. Our best option is carnival, who seems do not have an option available.

My family are booked for a March Cruise on the Jubilee. My mother needs a wheelchair lift, so to play it safe we plan to take the carnival transfer. However when I look in the manage cruises section the option is only available for us to get a transport from port to the airport at the end of the cruise with no option to get from the airport to the port at the end of the cruise. Is this a common thing and will the option show up eventually or should we look for alternative options to get from the airport to the port. This is for the 3/16/2024 sailing.

TBH, Carnival's prices are far tamer then RCLs. RCLs Icon of the sea will be their newest vessel when she debuts this year. The cheapest Per person on her is listed at $2058 not signed in vs $669 per person on the Carnival Jubilee.

Outsider looking in: I have been on carnival several times now, but looking at MSC I think of an Martial arts saying "all the way out or all the way in" It looks like MSC is not all the way in the US market (yet). This is not saying they don't have enough ships but rather the ships they do have in the US, don't cater to US cruisers, no comedy clubs, long dinners and so forth. They should make changes to the US ships to make them more appealing to Americans. I love the concept of competition. I want MSC to compete more as it will be better for us all. However I am an American, you want my money accept I have different habits and interest then those old world people.

Diamond and Platinum statistically spend less money, however they are the most likely to tell a friend and thus encourage a new customer. Customer retention is just as important as getting new customers in that your loyal customers tend to tell a friend. I think Carnival would benefit by allowing it's loyalty to cross their brands. This could allow their customers to change lines as their taste mature. Not a full 1 for 1 but something close to it like 2 nights equals 1 rounding down. Additionally, after looking at the way FTTF is sold* it seems that Carnival has a calculated allotment of "priority" space on a ship. It looks like after Diamond and platinums are booked and calculated, the remainder is sold off as FTTF. As a share holder this seems a rather smart way to gain more money. Remember, FTTF boards after Diamond and platinums, and most ports do not have tender this point, many cruises don't have a tender port, so thats moot, and the only other perk they can infringe on is customer service line.

From my experience that trek north can be rough at times, it seems at least once a month the Panorama is late. Do the other lines doing PV last and Cabo first run into this issue with being late, or do they leave PV early enough to give them more wiggle room on the sail up?

Carnival separates it's brands by culture. Carnival is targeting the economy market however unlike Royal Caribbean, carnival only focuses on American audiences. Italians have Costa, Germans, Aida, and Brits P&O. This allows for a distinct offering tailored to their specific cultures, language, and customs. I.E. Italians do longer dinners then Americans. Royal doesn't have this brand separation. They have Royal for their economy market and celebrity for premium. A fair comparison would be to compare CCLs economy companies as one vs Royal Caribbean.

We went on this itinerary in march. One of our fellow cruisers, gave us the advise to get an uber. It costed us about 100 pesos (7$) to get to the downtown area

I don't think Fort Lauderdale is high on priority. It's close enough to Miami that people driving 2+ hours or flying wouldn't care about the extra dozen miles. It's like carnival using Long Beach vs Los Angeles for me. I have to drive 8 hours what's an extra few minutes.
