"Thanks for generously sharing your time at sea with everyone at Cruise Critic!" kh6275 was awarded the badge '"Live from...."' We are a family of 4 enjoying the 2/2 in the Haven. It is our favorite cabin. Checkin was super easy. We drove to the pier, dropped our luggage off (5 bags 🤣) and parked at the pier (I don’t remember the exact price but it was under $400). The main lot was full at 11:30 so they had us park on the road almost directly in front of the elevators #sweet! 10 minutes to clear security and not even 15 minutes to checkin and be escorted onto the ship. We were brought to the Haven Lounge. The ship was super crowded but they had Haven designated elevators so it was easy. The Haven was also quite crowded because our cabins weren’t yet ready. I would say they announced all Haven cabins were ready at 12:15/12:30. We put our name on the list for lunch in the Haven as soon as we got to the Lounge and probably waited 45 minutes. The hubs enjoyed some cocktails and never had to wait. We are pre-tippers AKA bribers and it works for us. I prefer to pay for the service I’d like to receive 😎 we also tipped the butler and steward too. The muster drill was in the theater for us and took about 15 minutes. All of “my” times are guesstimates, it isn’t my strong suit. I registered the kids for unlimited Arcade cards and confirmed our 4 specialty dining reservations. I heard several other passengers getting stuck with undesirable times on ship. Lots of places are booked. I used the pre-cruise concierge via email and am glad I did. If your ship is full that’s the way to go. We did some exploring and had Teppanyaki for dinner. We all had the lobster & strip steak. The food was good not great but we are Long Islanders and steak and lobster are our jam. The wait for drinks was insanely long probably 20-30 minutes. We already finished our soup before they arrived. I suggest bringing cocktails in with you. I ordered the Wasabi and it was fantastic, highly recommend!! We were stuffed and requested that our desserts be sent back to the cabin. No problem but it did take the butler over an hour. My kids played ping pong and went to the arcade. My son is 15 and my daughter will be 13 in two weeks. Unfortunately, she wasn’t permitted to go to the teen club it is for ages 13+. Some sailings there is flexibility but if the ship is full there is not. The kids ordered late night food from the butler (cheese & crackers, pizza, etc). Hopefully I take more photos today. My daughter just popped into my room and said she’s off to yoga. We have the premium unlimited wifi and there’s no way to sugarcoat this IT STINKS. LOL. Buffering, buffering, everywhere. iMessage does work while in airplane mode hooked to the ships wifi even without a plan. Some of my photos are coming in upside down and I have no idea how to edit them in this thread. Feel free to comment if you do. Rare kh6275 Posted February 19, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted February 19, 2023 Lunch in the Haven and a cone from the buffet. It is still a bit cloudy, windy & chilly. Banana Banoffee will be back in the cabin for later.

tokidoki Posted February 20, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2023 Following along and I am loving your cruise😍. I plan to cruise later this year on the Getaway and I am glad to see u have the 2 production shows. If it’s possible, since u have posted your breakfast meals, I would love to c a picture of the current butter that u r being served on NCL. Sounds nutty, but I used to enjoy the hotel bar butter years ago, and since they changed it several times, I want to check the ingredients for dietary purposes. Thx in advance. Keep enjoying and stay safe!

I was on Getaway last week. All the places I ate served butter in ramekins -- the Haven, Taste, Savor, and Cagney's. Didn't see individually wrapped pats of butter anywhere. I avoided the Garden Cafe in large part, but maybe there?

Rare kh6275 Posted February 21, 2023 Author #12 Share Posted February 21, 2023 We were just over 2 hours late to Port Canaveral but the weather is gorgeous. Lots of people in the pools. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch in the Haven and grabbed something quick from the Garden Cafe after out time at Cocoa Beach. The Garden Cafe is definitely not for me but my salad was fine. We rented a car from Budget and it was a bit hectic. Pier parking is also odd, they have cones blocking off the entrance.

Rare kh6275 Posted February 23, 2023 Author #15 Share Posted February 23, 2023 Gorgeous day at Great Stirrup Cay. We booked a Silver Cove Villa. The villa was great but I wish they had a band and water rentals in the cove. Food at the buffet was ok, nothing great. Service was good. Kids had a blast.

Rare kh6275 Posted February 26, 2023 Author #18 Share Posted February 26, 2023 We had a great trip even though the ship is jam packed. I’m not sure we would have had as much fun if not in the Haven because I don’t love crowds, waiting or so so service. We had excellent service and the Haven wait staff also does double duty in the specialty restaurants which was great. The arcade package is $175 per card and you can swipe once every 3 minutes. When my kids were little they shared but now they have their own. My friend got charged over $1000 in arcade fees, for some reason they didn’t apply the package. We all signed up on day 1 in the arcade. Receipts were NOT given. Definitely get a receipt or snap a photo. Thankfully my arcade packages were properly applied. The internet onboard is terrible. The streaming package should be called the buffering package. I have nothing else to compare it to but I can’t imagine the regular unlimited package is any slower. We had amazing weather and I was glad Bermuda got dropped.

sherrihall128 Posted February 28, 2023 #20 Share Posted February 28, 2023 When I was looking at the Dailies, I couldn't see if the kids club (Splash Academy) was open. Do you know if it was open at all? Thanks!

Looks amazing, I’m researching for our first NCL Haven cruise and your posts are super helpful. Is the first picture a latte from the Haven? It’s so cute I have to have one! Is this included with the regular beverage package? Thanks!

For the person who asked about Splash Academy, the hours are on the back page of the Dailies. So for port days like Miami, only open 7-11pm (plus late night 11-1 😱🫣). But sea days, 9-12, 2-4, 7-11 (I was looking for this too, thanks for posting the full Dailies!). Edited March 1, 2023 by ebheart
