tlguinn_2000 Posted February 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2023 Where is a good place to shop in Curacao? We of course want to pick up a Curacao T-shirt, but also other things that are unique to the region. We plan to spend most of the day touring around the island going to beaches but thought we would shop some in Willemstad. We thought we would ask the tour driver to drop us off in the downtown area and walk back to the ship. Possible? Also are there some places away from the town area that would be good for shopping? CntPAcruiser Posted February 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2023 Assuming your ship is docked at the main cruise ship dock, yes, it is a walkable distance from in town in Willemstad. You would cross the floating bridge, turn left and follow the canal back toward the Rif Fort/dock to get to your ship. There is shopping along the way back, individual vendors and artists. Smaller ships sometimes tie up right in town not far from the floating bridge. In town, you can walk through the streets between Breedestraat, where you come in from the floating bridge, and the canal with the floating market. Plenty of stores and restaurants to explore. My recommendation is a t-shirt and souvenir shop called The Best of Curacao, which is a cross-street or two in from the canal/Handelskade.

Punda is perfect for shopping. Visit Copperstone o Hanchi Snoa 9 (same street as the synagogue) and you will find local art, also meet the artist Dhanarts (Melissa is her name). Rare crewsweeper Posted March 1, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2023 There are plenty of shops in the Rif Fort complex too.
