Sri Lanka Visa

We will be on the Encore leaving Singapore on March 19^th. The itinerary includes two stops in Sri Lanka, for which we need visas. Our son, who is travelling with us applied through iVisa and received a document that says it is an eVisa (ETA). We applied directly with the Sri Lanka electronic travel authorization system. Their system shows under visa application status “ETA is approved.” However we haven’t received any actual visa document. Our TA says we have all we need and the visa is attached to our passport number in their records. Is she correct? I’d hate to arrive in Colombo and not be able to go ashore.
