Columbia Snake river booked April 23, 2024
Xerxes10 replied to westcoastsue's topic in American Cruise Lines
What kind of vessels did they use in 1099? -
As far as activity levels, I would say the excursions on ACL tend toward the sedate in my experience. My wife and I are in our mid 80's and the excursions on our last cruise were just our speed. For special dietary needs you should probably check with the cruise line, but I am very doubtful.

What is hotel used in Miami for pre cruise and review of it
Xerxes10 replied to jjwoben1's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
I was able to book one night, Sunday, prior to the included night on the Grandeur cruise leaving Miami on 3.25.24. -
American Cruise Lines Constellation to Alaska

Have to agree with you about the superiority of the happy hour snacks to the dining room swill. Maritinis to wash down the snacks are a real plus. -
American Cruise Lines Constellation to Alaska

I can't agree that the stops on the Upper Mississippi are nothing burgers. Although we are former midwesterners, we had never been to any of the stops. Of course St. Louis and Minneapolis are great to visit. Dubuque is one of the most interesting small towns we've ever been to. How can you not like Hannibal? On the other hand, I found the food in the dining room close to inedible. -
Great sunset shot (or was it sunrise?)

Just got off American Serenade from St Louis to Red Wing. No effect whatsoever from low water levels.

Steve, any thoughts on why RCL is doing so much better than NCLH? -

Our next cruise leaves Miami Mar 25th, so we submitted the form a little more than 6 months ahead. -

Not sure if this is a coincidence or not, but I got my shareholder benefit today after posting this question yesterday. -

I mailed in my OBC shareholder request about 10 days ago and I it's not shown in "Manage This Cruise/" How long does it usually take to post the credit? -

Thanks for your non-review. We would love to see your photos. How can we access them? It's almost time for us to start packing for our northbound trip on the Serenade leaving St. Louis on the 21st. Wondering how many sets of clothes to bring. Does the ship offer laundry? Were the guest laundrys usually easily available? -
Anniverary, thanks for responding. Hope you're having a great trip. -xerxes10

With all this talk of how much Regent is cutting costs, I'm having trouble understanding why NCHL stock is doing so poorly. The investment I (foolishly) made in 2019 is currently worth much less than half of what I paid.

We will be on the American Serenade in September for our first ever trip on ACL. Asking for my wife, will there be a mahjong set on board? Asking for myself, will there be playing cards?

Glad to hear that you had a great time. -
Another former (and future, I hope) Regent customer here but new to ACL. We've booked Upper Mississippi in late September. Since this is part of a longer trip I am wondering what the laundry facilities are on ACL.
-
Possibly a computer glitch
-
Thanks for the reply. I called ACL and was told that they will be available 90 days out and reservable 60 days out.

Dave, Thank you very much for your helpful reply. Xerxes

My wife and I are excited to travel on American Cruise Lines. We have cruised on Uniworld and Viking in the past as well as several oceangoing lines. This fall, we will be on the American Serenade going from St. Louis to St. Paul, boarding September 21st. A few questions: Is there laundry service and/or guest laundry on board ? Is there an in-room refrigerator? If so, is it pre-stocked ? Is there an in-room safe ? What is the tipping policy ? Where in St. Paul does the ship disembark ? What is the best way to get to downtown Minneapolis from there ? -- Old Xerxes

How do you make excursion reservations? How do you find out what excursions are available? We booked through our TA and the "Booked Cruises" under My Account is blank.

We will be on the Encore leaving Singapore on March 19th. The itinerary includes two stops in Sri Lanka, for which we need visas. Our son, who is travelling with us applied through iVisa and received a document that says it is an eVisa (ETA). We applied directly with the Sri Lanka electronic travel authorization system. Their system shows under visa application status “ETA is approved.” However we haven’t received any actual visa document. Our TA says we have all we need and the visa is attached to our passport number in their records. Is she correct? I’d hate to arrive in Colombo and not be able to go ashore.
