All the “get your tail to muster” announcements are by Lucy from the Fun Squad. We’re on a handover cruise, so I wonder if Cookie is showing Amber around or something

things I won’t miss after Sailaway. I hope.: people plopping down next to me at the casino bar with a whole pizza. Like, it’s all I smell

That looks like the casino bar. Jenny and Randy are our two favorite bartenders these days and we hope to see them again very soon in that casino. Occasionally met David on our last cruise. Don't know if he will regularly be at the casino bar, but he makes STRONG drinks. You might also come across Maria there. Came across her last cruise and we think we remember her from the days the Dream sailed out of New Orleans. She has black rim glasses and my mnemonic device for remembering her name back on the Dream was "take a letter Maria." The Glory casino bartenders are our favorites.

You are lucky! Three quarters of the time they never make the announcement. Now, will they put out ashtrays? On our last Glory cruise (last month) they really rationed ashtrays everywhere. Each day I would find a clean ashtray, or a lightly used that I took to the bathroom and washed, and put it in my back pocket for the many times their rationing left me without.

yeah, I’m not a smoker myself, but I definitely noticed both that that announcement was unusual and that there were no visible ashtrays in the smoking area when I walked through earlier. I’ll try to remember to check later when I stroll by

Cookie’s first announcement just came in cabins. Definitely still a bunch of people not checked in. “If you don’t check in, you can only have two drinks this whole cruise…. Nobody wants that.”

Odd- just noticed I don’t have any small glasses in the bathroom and no blue beach towel (no, 9.99 50th towel doesn’t count, that’s coming home with me for #PoolSZN)…. Wonder if he drops that later 

 

unpacked! Rested a little and about to head out to get ready for Sailaway. Cookie is signing Adele over the PA now, so I guess things are getting started

One of our laments is that since we stopped booking suites and moved on to balcony rooms we no longer have a chair with arms, just a stool.

 

We REALLY like a chair with arms but that chair looks like it could use a steam cleaning.

Grabbed a Parched Pig Amber from my frid…. Ahhhh, my semi-cool minibar…. For the road. I always order a few in advance so I have some walkin’ beers. I would say shower beers, but not in this shower.

It has been a year or so since they last put glasses in the bathrooms on Glory. Just another cutback. But the beach towel should be there. Let your attendant know in case they try to charge you for it when you leave.

I haven’t gotten that close to it yet. Honestly probably won’t. I may toss a towel on it or something
