Do we really have to print the e-tickets?

Currently scheduled to sail on the Seascape leaving this Sunday in the Yacht Club. We booked the cruise through the casino department and the dang e-ticket packet is like 30 pages.

Do we really need to print them to board?

Thanks!

You really just need the boarding pass and luggage tags (or bags can be tagged at the port).

The rest of the information is there in another attempt to make sure passengers read and understand the Terms and Conditions of the ticket contract.

It is not necessary but would speed things up.

I just pulled up the embarkation page with the QR on my phone. The port agent seemed a little irritated but she accepted it once I enlarged the screen so she could read the names. The MSC agent at check in just scanned the code and ll was good. She then gave us a printout of the health questionnaire which we signed.

In addition to the cruise ticket, health questionnaire and luggage tags, I also print the itinerary (for my benefit) and any pages with pre-purchased items such as excursions, internet, dining packages, etc., just in case they are not aware of those items. It’s usually not an issue, but could help, if needed.

We always print the eticket first pages (with specific cruise info on it, including booking number / cabin), luggage labels (yes...even for carry-ons - trust me on this one), and the summary page of anything pre-booked or that comes with your booking (i.e. shore excursion credit, shows, spa treatments).

Having a physical copy is invaluable if at check-in there are questions about the booking, or when you get to your room, if you have a booked meal / excursion / credit not showing for some reason.

We have everything in a folder, labelled along with a copy of our travel insurance, our covid certificates (not every port needs them, but good to have ready), and photocopies of passports / licenses / photo ID. This folder is our "Hail Mary Back-Up" in case something is lost / misplaced or questioned.

Warmest, Amy
