What really IS boarding time?

Boarding in Papeete soon.  We had to choose a specific boarding time when doing the online check-in but I've since heard that boarding starts at 1:00pm.  Are we going to be waiting for two hours in the hot sun or will we be able to board the ship at our 11:00 check-in time?  Thanks for the help.

Just find a comfortable place to relax, have a bite to eat and arrive at 1:00.

Then you don't have to worry about standing in the hot sun for two hours.

Problem solved.

Are you flying in same day?

If you are staying prior then stay at the hotel  until at least noon

If same day maybe arrange for  a tour or find  a day room  until  you can board the ship

No, we'll be in Moorea beforehand.  I had to choose a time so picked 11am.  Will I be able to check-in later than that without a problem?

They just want an idea  ... they do not  want to  have everyone turn up at once

I would check in at least 2 hrs before sailing time though 😉
