Do you lose your CruiseNext deposit if you cancel before final payment?

I canceled a cruise after final payment & the CNS that I used was not reimbursed. (even tho we were at 25% penalty window)

If I cancel BEFORE final payment will I lose my CNS also?

Or will they be returned to my account?

( I have read the terms & it appears so, but I am confused after my last experience)

Certificates are returned to your account as long as they haven't expired.

That's what I would expect prior to final payment.  After, I wouldn't expect that.

I’ve had them returned to my account a couple times when I cancelled before final payment.  It took a few days, but then eventually reappeared with the same expiration dates they had before I used them.
