Natabelle Posted March 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2023 Hi everyone! My new partner and I are planning a cruise for the fall. He is Platinum level and I am only Red, but the deals under my VIFP are cheaper than his, by about $300. Will he still get his Platinum perks if I book the cruise under my VIFP? Or would it be better for him to suck it up and pay the higher cruise price for him to get his benefits? TIA!
Rare starstruck05 Posted March 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2023 (edited) Yes, his platinum perks still count no matter who books the cruise. It goes by the VIFP number. Just make sure to add it after booking. Edited March 15, 2023 by starstruck05
Guest BasicSailor Posted March 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2023 Being you're in the same cabin you can board under his Platinum perk.

That seems to be pretty normal..... Carnival knows that those of us who are Diamond and Platinum will keep booking cruises so no need to give us a good offer. (But we do get a plastic ship pin and a koozie !!!!!! ) Edited March 15, 2023 by groundloop

n6uqqq Posted March 16, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2023 There isn't one platinum benefit worth $300 dollars for him to book it instead of your cheaper rate. But yes, he still gets all his benefits.
