Blue chip offer

I just received an email with a Blue chip offer of 60% off select sailings. This is a little confusing as Celebrity's current offer is 75% off the second guest which would be close to the Blue chip offer.

Has anyone else received this offer and explored the details?

I haven’t received this one, but did receive a 60% BCC in the past. You do need to cost out each sailing then compare it to the current offers to see what makes sense for you. The 60% off is for both passengers, but off the initial refundable deposit Celebrity rate before any promotion is applied. This was a deal when we booked 2 of our long and expensive cruises, but worked out to be more when we attempted to book a shorter Caribbean cruise.

Generally the 60% off is better but you should always price the BCC and current X offer out as the BCC often has differing fares.

For even number purposes, let's say you found a cruise you want at $1,000/person and your a party of TWO.

60% off both = $800 for TWO.  $1000 x 2 x .4

75% off second person = $1,250 for TWO.  $1000 x .25 + $1000
