Amandainsweden Posted March 16, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2023 Hey! im looking at booking a Princess cruise to the Panama Canal in October for 6 adults and 3 kids. What is the best way to book? (Cheapest?) their website, on the phone with their agent, an independent travel agent? Thanks for your help!
CruiserBruce Posted March 16, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2023 Welcome to Cruise Critic! There is no one magic "best" way. You just need to shop around and do your research. Keep in mind we are not allowed on Cruise Critic to name or discuss travel agents or agencies.
Rare mom says Posted March 16, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 16, 2023 (edited) Depends on how knowledgeable about the various options/limitations surrounding cabin selection and package add ons or inclusions. If you have cruised before, then you can book yourself online. If you might have a few questions about the booking, then booking by phone might be helpful. Prices should be the same if booking exactly the same thing. A TA who is a cruuse specialist can be very helpful in guiding new cruisers, or if booking with a line for the first time. They MAY offer additional OBC when you book. As Cruiser Bruce said- shop around. Do a mock booking online. Get a quote over the phone from the cruise line and a few TAs. Just be sure you are comparing apples to apples. Edited March 16, 2023 by mom says
Amandainsweden Posted March 16, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted March 16, 2023 Thank you!!! a follow up- if I’m booking four people why does it only show one twin bed in the room? Shouldn’t it be bunk beds? Why would the system even let me book that?
