It's 2 miles from Pier 30-32 to Fisherman's Wharf. Pier 30-32 is the other side of the Bay Bridge at Rincon Point.

I am very familiar with the area. Have actually toured a couple ships at Pier 30-32, both cruise ships, and warships.

Walking is still an option. Given the situation, we would probably walk to the excursion.

We're also on an Oceania ship which is docking there - wondering how far it would be to the Ferry Building as we're planning to pick up the Big Bus tour and understand it leaves from there. Looks to be about a 15 minute walk.

Thanks!

The Ferry Building is far closer than Fisherman's Wharf.

If it's a port of call, i.e. no luggage to worry about, what about Transit? There's the historic F line streetcar that uses Ye Olde vehicles which a lot of folks enjoy - if memory serves that runs along the Embarcadero from the Ferry Building and has multiple stops in a loop near Fisherman's wharf.

Google seems to be having trouble letting me select transit along Embarcadero at the moment, some sort of construction issues? If memory serves the light rail line continues at least as far as Giants' stadium so OP should be able to board a Muni vehicle close to pier 30 then transfer onto the F line... correct away SF locals if that construction project is going to prevent transit throughout this cruise season!

Pier 30/32 is in between two Muni Metro Stations; couple of blocks north, past the Bay Bridge is the Folsom Station, couple of blocks south is the Brannan Station https://www.transit.wiki/Pier_30/32

Board the front car, tell the train operator you want to take the F Line to Fisherman's Wharf and they'll call out the stop. Be sure to get a transfer so you won't have to pay again getting on the F Line.

For cheap burgers & cheap beers with a million dollar view, Red's Java Hut. Best dive burger joint in the city. Don't ask for lettuce or any other greens (except peppers n'pickles), they don't have that kind of stuff there. Full bar in the back.

Sounds like a fun "joint". Where is it located?
