Sounds like good news, especially the commitment to keeping the support center in the US (easier access to the main office for training, clarification, etc.)

This reinforces my feeling that until the re-hosting of the website that we have just experienced, Azamara were outsourcing not just the technology but the whole customer service operation to their previous parent company.

From professional experience of a similar situation in a completely different industry, things tend to get fractious near the end of this, and it's highly likely this will be the root cause for all the shore-base customer service problems that people have experienced.  That's almost certainly going to change, but hold onto your hats!  First the new team is going to have to go through a huge learning curve - not just of Azamara's new systems - but quite probably very many of those involved will be new to the cruise industry.

It won't be perfect, but they are now in control of their own destiny.
