Early Saver Protection Form-Question

We are new to Carnival.  We booked an Alaskan cruise on January 28, 2023 for an April 23, 2024 sailing on the Carnival Spirit.  While looking at some of the items posted on the Carnival website I came across something that mentioned "Early Saver Protection Form."  Can someone explain what the form is all about?  And, is this something I should be filling out?

The paragraph above the form is fairly self explanatory - if the price goes down on an eligible booking, fill out the form and the price for your sailing will be adjusted.

Ok, thank you for your response.  If I use a travel agent, do I work through them?  I know with other lines I have always had to work through the TA for a price reduction.

Please Note: If you booked your cruise with a travel agent and need to submit an Early Saver Price Protection form, simply contact your travel agent and they will submit it for you.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it.
