jms Posted March 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2023 We are overnight in Venice in July and we understand that Immigration will clear the ship upon our arrival the first morning. Do we need to present ourselves with passports for this process? We are trying to plan a private tour for that day and will have an early departure on Disembarkation day (which is the following day). Any help is greatly appreciated. The Ship - Azamara Onward - will be in Chioggia.
hallasm Posted March 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2023 No, there will be no personal check of passports. However, you must expect some time from arrival until the ship is cleared and you are allowed to leave the ship.
Rare Essiesmom Posted March 25, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2023 Chances are your ship will have collected your passports and take care of entry into non-Schengen countries. Your last two ports, Croatia and Slovenia are Schengen so any immigration will be taken care of and your passports returned. Ship clearance is often taken care of over coffee and pastries and depending on your location, a six pack…. EM
