Deep Blue Extras extended thru April 30

The boarding system works very well, whether you have DBE or not.  The only time you will find yourself standing in line is if you arrive more than 30 minutes before your scheduled "port arrival" time.  In that case, you will be sent to.a queue arranged by arrival times...and you stand there until the people with earlier times have all been taken care of.  It is possible that you'll get to board a LITTLE earlier than your arrival time, but that depends on how fully booked the ship is and how late your scheduled time happens to be.

As noted above, DBE waives the scheduled time.

On my past Virgin voyages I didn't have DBE (although my next cruise should have it!) - so I just waited for my later boarding time at 3:00 / 3:30.  I gotta say... waiting until 3:00 is nice - no crowds and no lines. Just stroll right in!  But I'll look forward to the early boarding on my next VV. 🙂

And in my case, absolutely no traffic getting to the terminal as most other lines have more or less finished embarkation.

Hey -- slightly off topic -- any experienced Virgin voyageurs / voyageuses care to speculate what this means -- it seems to have appeared on my account sometime around confirmation of my status match?   First it was intiially in USD, then CAD showed up ydy?  Is it simply a Sea Rover IT flag to trigger DBE?    Scott.

I have a guess, but it is just a guess.  Early on when discussing the loyalty program, they were issuing some sort of points or credits based on when you booked and your status.  They also talked about offering some additional credits in certain time frames.  This has been taken down from the web site.  I'm guessing that what you are seeing is related to that program which is not currently operational.

Just a general point on the extras, perks and other items that the status may or may not bring...

Is it just me that is REALLY happy with the XL cabin and included items you get.  The standard for VV from what I can tell is already head and shoulders above other cruise lines, so they would have to be offering something STUNNING for the top level of the reward program, as there is not much more you want anyway when you on board.

DBE ending very soon, and between the roll-out of the reward program and the late 2024 onward routes to be announced I'm keeping my eye on the site and ready to book again!

Anyone got DBE successfully applied for the April 22 TA on the Valiant Lady?

I got my status match confirmation a few days ago, but I don't see DBE applied to my account anywhere. Is it normal that there is a delay or would I have to assume that my cruise isn't eligible for one way or the other?

The cruise IS eligible.  We had DBE on our last cruise....it took about a week for them to add it to the April 22 TA on the "my account" section of the web site after the announcement that DBE was extended.  If you booked on points, a casino rate, etc. you may not qualify.  I have a MNVV (rebooking on board) and cash reservation..  It still does not show up on the app, but I've played that game before.  The app, in my case, has always been wrong until boarding, then corrects itself.  THe web site is right, so I shoot a picture f that in case I need proof at boarding.

If you don't see it in a few days, call your agent (if you used one) or VV directly.
