Pier 66 Seattle

Pier 66 is on the Seattle Waterfront.  There is a parking garage across the street where your relative can park.  As @VibeGuy mentioned, you would be close enough to Pike Place Market to walk there, explore, have lunch, drinks or whatever.

If you prefer, or need a level/flat walking route, you can stroll along the waterfront choosing any number of restaurants along the way, from Anthony's which is just next door to Pier 66, to Seattle's iconic Ivar's Acres of Clams Restaurant or the fish bar there, located  at Pier 54

If you still have time remaining, there is an outdoor sculpture park just past Pier 69/70 (Port of Seattle headquarters).
