First time for  us taking a disembarking tour before the departure airport. For anyone having done this, what did they require of your luggage night before ? Special tags, keep with us to take to a lounge ? Thanks

I have experienced several different methods. Some will depend on what the customs requirements are for your particular debarkation port which you didn't specify.

1) Your disembarkation luggage tag will be unique to your specific tour and they'll be loaded on your bus that will travel with you during the tour.

2) Your disembarkation luggage tag will be unique to your specific tour and they'll be loaded on a truck that will go to the airport and you'll meet your bags there.

3) Your disembarkation luggage tag will be for a time that fits your tour departure and you will pick up your bags in the terminal and schlep them through customs yourself (or with a porter - my favorite) and then take them to your tour bus.

Number 3 has always been our experience.

Granted it was before the pandemic but number 3 was the procedure out of Southampton for us (went to Windsor).

Thank you, that's the one we chose too.

Great choice! We did that tour before Covid and enjoyed it very much. You get a nice tour of the castle grounds as well as a bit of free time in the town itself (Pub visit!). Being close to LHR there's very little worry about getting there too late.
