Rare TLCOhio Posted April 14, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2023 Yes, the weather in Central Ohio has been great to be out, enjoy the sunshine, warm weather, etc. From earlier this week, here is a little "wildlife sampling" from our back ravine yard area. Below is a young deer at the fence "up close and personal". Notice the eye? The name of "Buckeye" comes from the Native American term for "Eye of the Buck". Lots of Buckeye tree here that gave off Buckeye nuts that looked like the "Eye of the Buck" associated with the native deer. Notice in the third picture, three deer in the lower wooded area with a daffodil in the foreground? Also, below is a hawk up in the trees with the wide wing span. By the way, our back fences mean nothing to these deer. They just quickly jump over without any hesitation. Quick and easy for them. THANKS! Enjoy! We stayed pretty low key this time. The port side of the ship was treated to a rainbow the first morning out. It was close enough I felt like I could reach out and touch it. There was a faint double rainbow too. Three flags over El Morrow in San Juan. US, Puerto Rico, Spanish military Burgandy Waves breaking. I got a nice series to play with Flowers in the port of Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. Edited April 20, 2023 by PurpleHays

Rare pierces Posted April 23, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted April 23, 2023 A good way to end a week! This was our Sunday morning courtesy of the nice folks at Celebrity Cruises who gave us another “free” cruise as a reward for using the pretty machines in the casino. The cruise was honestly a surprise since Kim went through less that a couple hundred dollars over the seven days of the previous cruise. She did win a lot, lose it then win it back again etc., so I guess the overall flow was what qualified us for the trip. Ron and Peri joined us because they were gifted a trip as well. The ship was full, so I don’t think it was emergency passenger packing on Celebrity’s part that got us invited. Whatever the reason, it was a relaxing voyage to nowhere with good food, good friends, a bunch of breakfast Bellinis and some much-needed rest on one of our favorite ships. Clink!
