I saw the “scammed” topic. Thankfully those issues are fairly few and far between, I haven’t come across issues too often. Sorry you got so tangled up in it.

If you make a deposit without going via a CVP they get no credit for the booking and are not obliged to help you.

I booked a casino comp with future cruise depatlment while on the ‘Emerald last month paid full price then and there and yes my CVP got credit. Verified with 3 different Princess employees

Casino comp is completely different from a regular booking.
