Civitavecchia Train Station

At the end of our cruise we need to get to the local train station in Civitavecchia.  I assume taxis will not be waiting inside the port gates unless hired in advance so how can we get one to take us 2+km to the station?  Just walk out?  Is it far to get out? Not interested in walking or bussing to station.  Thanks.

you will find white taxis under the ship, especially larger ships attract local taxis, but these will prefer to take customers going to Rome or FCO. Hard for a taxi to take you to the CIVI station, and if it does it does it at absurd prices
