Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hi SharedShuttle.it and CivitavecchiaPort.org are two good options for shared shuttles
  2. Hi I always advise to consider civitavecchiaport.org, van prices are very good
  3. you will find white taxis under the ship, especially larger ships attract local taxis, but these will prefer to take customers going to Rome or FCO. Hard for a taxi to take you to the CIVI station, and if it does it does it at absurd prices
  4. March 23 of this year was signed the decree fixed in 5 euros the entrance fee to the Pantheon, which will be allowed only outside the hours reserved for liturgical functions. The under 18 free, the under 25 only 2 euros. Worth them all, the Pantheon is beautiful
  5. it depends on what time you want to stay in Piazza Navona, the journey time is as I told you 1h30. So the choice of time depends on you too. As Euro Cruiser also says, the duration can vary by about 15 minutes. The driver will certainly travel the Via Aurelia, do not be afraid when you find a bit of traffic at the entrance to Rome, it is normal
  6. considers that in mid-June schools close for the summer holidays, until early September. In summer the traffic drops drastically in the morning. It is about 90 Kms, and Rome has typical car traffic of large European cities, consider 1h30 to reach the historic center of Rome
  7. I suggest you stay at FCO 3 hours before the flight, the transfer by car from the port to FCO takes about 45/50 minutes. You should ask permission to disembark for 0600 AM...difficult.... not impossible.... but difficult
  8. Civitavecchia has not much to offer, there are shops in the center, and a nice promenade. But if you are looking for something really interesting, you might consider The Etruscan Necropolis of Monterozzi, located on a hill east of Tarquinia, which ollienbertsmum has already recommended to you. And, The Etruscan Necropolis of Banditaccia, located on a hill north of Cerveteri and is undoubtedly one of the most interesting archaeological sites to visit and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Necropolis of Banditaccia is by far the most extensive ancient necropolis of the entire Mediterranean area. Very beautiful is also the National Archaeological Museum of Cerveteri, with authentic masterpieces of Etruscan art.
  9. the problem is that taxis in Civitavecchia do not want to make this short distance. They prefer to wait under ships, passengers going to Rome, or Fiumicino airport, to earn much more. This is why the hotel does not help you, because it knows that it is very difficult to find a taxi. I suggest you book hotels in Civitavecchia that have a shuttle service that connects with the port.
  10. CivitavecchiaPort.org lets you create shared groups even after 12:30 PM, the problem is that the later the collection time, and the harder it is to find someone interested in sharing, but they say they won’t abandon you. If no one joins your group, they send you a private car at a discounted price. Maybe it looks like what you’re looking for
  11. I would consider using the CivitavecchiaPort.org booking system directly, price of the van for 7/8 people is very affordable, even 50 euros less than RomeCabs
  12. for my experience, guests with early flight departing from Fiumicino exit before cruisers that have a late flight, like you. So, you should be out of the ship not before 08.00 AM. For an intercontinental flight it is good to stay at FCO 3hrs before the flight. It is a drive of 50 min to reach FCO. I would go quietly to the airport, the 12 PM flight is perfect
