I would assume Londoners are similar to those in the Midwest of the US - as in, there aren't many days during the year where you can really enjoy being outside due to the weather - so when there is a nice, sunny day, the whole city ends up outside! If you visit Chicago or Milwaukee on a sunny, summer day with a nice breeze, the streets are full of people!

Rachid’s extended Prius was no match for B’s widowmaker, so I’m in the back with Big Blue and B is in the American front for the hour jaunt to LHR

Our driver is from Morocco and grew up in Gibraltar, and is very excited about Robert DeNiro having a baby in his 80’s

And now we wait. One hour til we get our gate (#HeathrowThings) then boarding a half hour after that. So far so smooth. Way better than the massive BA lines anyway

thank you! Believe me, I’m sad too. Time

to get home and rest up til Dream next month (a completely different trip)

 

yes! The Albariño white (“green wine” as they call it) from Spain was our fave! All of it was good - in Europe, just order the house wine and roll with it, it’s all fantastic. We picked up our first bottle of Albariño on our excursion in Bilbao at a tasting, and found another couple after that!

Gate agent is walking through the gate checking boarding passes for people on our flight. Never seen this happen in my life. We board in 20.

This plane is old, the seats are insanely tiny, and the window seat doesn’t even let me lean on the wall because there’s a big gap there. So glad we paid extra for these…. Ten hours. Breathe. Let’s just get there. #airtravelsucks
