Bermuda With Kids

We are thinking of doing a Cruise to Bermuda next year (2024) from New York (would be in Bermuda for a few days) with our two kids (will be ages 2 and 4). What are some great family friendly activities/sights? Also we would probably be self exploring and taking the bus around the island. Any Bermuda family travel tips appreciated 😀

This would be our first family cruise...husband and I have been on cruises without kids before.

How about an old fashioned pail and shovel at a wonderful Bermuda beach, or some time spent at the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo.

Yes we will 100% be spending time on the beach with buckets and shovels. We love to give our kids time to explore nature 🙂

Do you know of any other nature/outdoor sights/activities that would be good for younger children in Bermuda besides the beach?

Thanks.

You could visit the caves, or maybe take an excursion on a glass bottomed boat and see lots of fish. My kids are 35 and 39, so not really up on other activities for preschoolers. Maybe "bluesea777" who lives on the island will chime in.

The BAMZ,( Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo). The Zoo is small which makes it perfect for small children. We took a five year old and she loved it.

Horseshoe Bay has a cove which is on the right side when facing the ocean just past the facilities which many have nicknamed the baby beach because it is shallow and protected from the surf. It is good for small children. The main part of the beach is fine too but watch your kids there. There are lifeguards. Another beach which is a favorite for famillies with small children is Jobsons Cove on the South Shore. Shallow and protected. No facilities there though.

  • 3 weeks later...

Rent a Boston Whaler from BDA Watersports in Somerset.  If your kids are swimmers, make sure to bring snorkels and swim with the turtles.  (BDA will give you a map of where to go and what to see.)
