That's correct, put your phones on airplane mode but turn on wifi. Your app access will be via the ship's wifi. As you won't be accessing the internet via the wifi, there'll be no cost involved. We tag team the check-in and even have a competition to see who can do it faster: Mom and Dad or me and my niece.
