Passports for Bermuda ?

We haven't been to Bermuda in 12 years and we don't know if our passport renewals will come back before our cruise from NY. Can we board with drivers license and birth certificate? We are going on Carnival Venezia. Thanks.

You can board with a drivers license and an official birth certificate if your cruise starts and ends in New York.

A lot of people are in the same situation and asking on Cruise Critic. They did not anticipate the current backed up renewal situation.

I'm the opposite.  My passport is good for my early August Bermuda cruise.  I was recently invited to a trip in October where my passport expires 5 months after trip and I need 6.  I was considering sending the passport in now for renewal and cruising to Bermuda with birth certificate and DL.  This is my 1st cruise with my kids so I am thinking about not doing that so nothing gets jeopardized.

We are in the same situation. Ours actually are fine, but we sent the kids off for renewal back in March and are crossing our fingers they are back for our trip next month. I guess worst case scenario we just take their birth certificates.
