Charter flights

We are seasoned cruisers but for the first time are doing a  'flights included' cruise. We will be flying from Barbados to London. I understand they are charter flights. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Thanks.

Leave the luggage out the night before they will be transported to the plane next time you see them is on the carousel in London. You can leave hand luggage in one of the venues that is allocated.

You can book a day cabin for a fee or just use the ship facilities.

You will be able to leave and come back to the ship when ever you want. They normally make announcements confirming if all flights have left or any delays.

When it is time for you to leave you will head off the ship and reps will guide you to the coaches and when you arrive at the airport you will go straight through to security since you will end up getting checked in onboard and be given the relevant documents a few days prior to the end of the cruise.

Please can someone explain how the arrival process works with the included flights. We arrive in Malta at 10.40sm on the day of out cruise.  Will we be boarded in an early group and, once checked in on board, can we then leave the ship for the afternoon and return later?

i am a regular cruiser but my Med cruise on Azura is first time on P&O and first time on a cruise that included a flight in price. Thanks in advance.

When we flew out to Malta last year we went though passport control and collected our cases, before heading towards the coaches for our transfer to the ship. Cases where taken and loaded into a van, so we didn't have to take them on the coach with us, and arrived outside our cabin in due course. On arrival at the terminal we were checked.

We found our cabin, dropped of our hand luggage then we went back ashore for a walk around.

Has Purplesea said. Cases were already going round the conveyer belt by the time we got through passport control. Collected the cases and P&O reps guide you to the coach park. Cases are loaded onto the trucks and you will not see them till you get on the ship. Around a 20minute transfer to the port.

You will be free to leave the ship we had to be back onboard for 6PM for guest drill
