RCI Florence by train LVQ8 information

You meet on ship at 7:30

It is a short drive to Livorno train station 

You wait on station platform for 50 mins until train at 9:15 ( although there is earlier one at 8:46)

You get to Florence at 10:35

The meeting point is between McDonalds and the pharmacy at the station.

Meeting time for return is 2:30

Return train is 3:00

Back on ship by 5:00

It cost £44.60pp

So a little over 50 euro, for comparison with other options.

 

The train on your own is a lot less expensive (21 euro return), but the cost of getting to/from the ship and the train station can be exorbitant and could more than cover the gap between the two.

 

On your own you could get to Florence an hour earlier but would need to leave at around the same time in order to safely get back to the ship.

 

All in all it seems like a reasonable alternative.

A little confused. Where do u sign up for this. searching for the title given just brings up a bunch of train schedules.

It is apparently a Royal Caribbean excursion, so if you're scheduled on one of their ships look for it under shore excursions (or whatever RCI calls them) on their web site.

is there something like this for Celebrity? Booked late. Seems most Florence tours full.
