yoj13 Posted June 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2023 Just wondered if anyone who has done the 14 night Spain & Portugal med cruise this year on Iona can give any indication of the arrival time back into Southampton please. I realise it can change but just trying to organise onward train travel home. I have read on Cruise critic approximately 7.30 - 8.30 am, but that seems relatively late to me so thought I'd double check. Thanks
Cruising Nomads Posted June 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2023 Arrival times and the time you are allowed of the ship are totally different and can depend on many factors.
Rare david63 Posted June 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2023 Irrespective of what time the ship is "scheduled" to arrive you need to factor in when booking onward transport that the ship can be late for any number of reasons. I have know a ship to be delayed and not dock until 11:30 - doesn't happen often, but it can. Most ships will dock at around 06:30/07:00 with self disembarkation starting at around 07:30/08:
AlanCruise Posted June 27, 2023 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2023 We found on a return on Ventura last year that it can also be affected by the tide! Start of Disembarkation was delayed until the tide had come in a bit so that the ramps could be connected.
