  1. It is also possible that the opening hours are adjusted to take cruise passengers into account. I have known attractions to be open only to cruise passengers outside of normal operating hours.
  2. In my opinion drinks should not be allowed in any theatre (on land or sea) if for no other reason than that of safety - if there needs to be an evacuation then the last thing that you want around is glass, or what happens if you drop your glass in the dark? Surely you can go for 45 minutes without a drink.
  3. I thought that you were given "arrival time" not "boarding time" - there is a significant difference.
  4. To me there appears to be a disconnect between P&O and the port terminal staff. Looking at the "priority" check-in situation the P&O website says for the top tiers "Priority arrival time allocation and Priority check-in" - nothing about boarding. Whilst for suite passengers it says "You’ll be whisked through priority check-in and boarding". The terminal staff, for obvious reasons, want to get everybody processed and onboard as quickly as possible and become oblivious to anything else. I have known the situation where I have had a suite and arrived at my allotted time only to find check-in packed meaning that we had to join the check-in queue for the best part of 30 minutes (it was a cruise with a large number of top tier passengers). Why P&O cannot adopt the same practices as other cruise lines, or better still airlines, is beyond me.
  5. Out of interest are you from the UK or the US as if you are in the UK you would normally buy the Carnival UK shares that are quoted in GBP
  6. Have you tried executive.correspondence@carnivalukgroup.com that should get a response
  7. I may be wrong but I think that you get a baggage allowance included - as to whether it is sufficient is another matter.
  8. It may take a day or two for your account to show up or it may be that Stockperks does not recognise Robinhood (just love that name for a share account😄) in which case you will have to contact Shareperks
  9. I would add that as my holding is through my bank then I do have the ability, internet connection permitting, to access the details through mobile banking on my phone but I would not be comfortable accessing that data at check-in.
  10. Mine are in a Shares ISA with my bank
  11. Rather than all the worry of finding a stapler (I hate stapled tags - too easy to rip your hands on them) or a roll of sellotape why not buy some of the plastic sleeves, from the Brazilian River site, that the luggage tags slot into and then all you need do is attach then to your case at the appropriate time?
  12. That may prove difficult if, like me, you only get a statement every three months as it will still leave a loophole
  13. Better to using a credit card than a debit card.
  14. Apparently one thing that is significantly different with booking a UK based cruise from the US and the UK is with the insurance requirement. For cruises booked from the UK insurance requirement is far greater than for the same cruise booked from the US - so much so that it is almost impossible to find adequate cover in the US. The question as to whether anyone checks the insurance cover is another matter altogether.
  15. I knowingly used the term "risk" as there is always the remote possibility that something could change between now and boarding
  16. I would also add that Carnival UK have become very strict about this and if you do not follow the rules then you run the risk of being denied boarding.
  17. It has been known especially straight after Covid - although how detailed it was read is another matter.
  18. I know that it can be difficult finding your way in and around Southampton but a week is a bit excessive!😄😇😂
  19. The advantage of linking is that you do not have to supply the confirmation details for every cruise which I am guessing you will have to do with a .pdf statement.
  20. I don't think that the porters are allowed to take cases out of the boot of your car. many times I have taken cases out and put them at the side and a porter has then taken them to the hole in the wall. A lot though does depend on timing.
  21. According to the Cunard Spanish site (https://www.cunardcruceros.com) QV is scheduled to arrive in Civitavecchia at 05:00 on 8th July 2024
  22. A lot will depend on where you intend buying the shares. If it is through a broker then once the buy has gone through you should be able to link your broker account to Sockperks but if you are buying some other way (such as through your bank) then it will all depend on the paperwork that you will get. The bottom line is that you need some form of proof of ownership to be able to apply for OBC. I would also add that now is a good time to buy as Carnival shares are quite low and will probably start to rise.
