Star Drydock PICS !!!

this am on the local news here in the bay area. they were showing the weather and different shots of the bay area and they showed the Star,, so shes still there as of this am..... someone else said shes leaving on friday.??? not to sure though...

 

 

and the tender boats were taken off , we some a lot of them lined up or whatever on the pier next to the boat when we went there....

I see these pictures and how far it seems they have to go (how much seems to be left to be done) and look at the calendar seeing what 3 days left and I really feel there is no way they will have her finished in time. Putting the Lifeboats back onto the ship will take at least half a day I believe.

You would be surprised what they can finish in a short amount of time, as long as they get out on friday they should be in LA by Sunday. The fact that they are taking the containers off is a good sign that they are wrapping it up. As for the life boats you have to realize that there are a thousand or so crew members and and other contractors that work nearly around the clock to finish these ships so once she is back in the water they will get them back on very quickly.

Cuizer2 - That was so mean :-)! But, really, it is a little nerve wracking knowing that I am supposed to get on her on Sunday and she is still sitting in San Fran.

Most of the ships leave the drydock about 1.5 days before they sail from LA, I have never seen one be late yet
