True, but don't ask/don't get and if the tables have been preassigned, then no amount of asking will, or should I say, should remaining passengers get a table change to a preassigned table. It is interesting though how in the past, an envelope with your table number would have been waiting for you in the cabin, on initial embarkation. Now it's just an envelope with your restaurant assignment, which of course, you already know. Does this give the M'ds 'leeway' to change table assignments? Who knows! We were lucky on QV as the M'ds knew our favourite 2 table positions. All change on QA. It will be interesting to see where we're 'put'! 🙂
Rare LadyL1 Posted February 20 #27 Share Posted February 20 It has not been mentioned, that those on full fare will be given priority. I am not sure that WC. status counts for too much here. Whatever, if booked on a “saver” you will be bottom of the pike for allocation, which I feel is correct. The more you have paid, the more likely your expectations will be met.
Zeg Posted February 20 #28 Share Posted February 20 You could try cancelling your ‘automatically added’ gratuities and rewarding especially attentive and accommodating service as you go. Not only with cash add a box of chocolates for the Maitre D to share among the service staff. That’s always appreciated. The key is to be kind, friendly and empathetic - it’s often returned. We were last onQV Aug 22 and that's what happened we had a card in the cabin on arrival with our table number on but looks like it was the one memento I didn't keep, must have left it at maitre'd desk. I'll just put aft window pref for 2 in my comments. Thanks all. 👍
