Jbluebird Posted August 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2023 We are currently in a mid-ship partially obstructed balcony room on Deck 7 (above the casino). I'm not overly concerned about the obstruction because it's just the top of a lifeboat. I have a Royal Up bid in for a Junior Suite, which says submitted (unable to cancel or modify). I just looked and the same category balcony room is now available on Deck 10, but more forward on the ship, below just the Vitality Spa. If I switch rooms, will I lose my submitted Royal Up bid? I've heard that if it's submitted than there's a chance I may get the upgrade (I know it's not guaranteed). I don't want to lose my bid chance and I'm not sure about being more forward on the ship, but I think it would be nicer if we weren't above the casino. Thoughts? Merion_Mom Posted August 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2023 It might help if you named the ship. From your description, it sounds like a ship in the Radiance family. I have stayed on Deck 7 and had no issues. Personally, I would rather not be too far forward - I like midship. And if you are under the Gym, there may be noise issues there. I would keep my current cabin, and leave the RoyalUp bid where it is.

Yes, it's Jewel and right now we're just under other cabins on Deck 8 and exactly mid-ship. Thank you for your input! I'll stay where we are and hope for an upgrade. 🙂
