casino dept-is it possible?

I just called the MSC Casino Dept. to arrange a line of credit before our cruise. I have done this before every cruise on NCL, Princess, Celebrity and RC. I asked 3 different people how I could arrange a credit line. None of them had any idea of what I was talking about and had never heard about lines of credit. Is it possible that you cannot arrange this on MSC, or is there a different department, other than the casino office, to call?

On MSC your line of credit is whatever credit card you register with when you board. When playing you can  charge to your room with a simple pin. That’s the only line of credit I’m aware of on MSC and I’ve gambled enough to earn 2 “free” cruises and another 30% off voucher. Let your cc company know in advance that you’ll be on a cruise so you don’t get locked down for suspicious activity.

This is correct as I understand it, your credit availability is the limit on your card.  Please note that they do preauth's each time you take a withdraw in the casino and then they charge the entire balance at the end of the cruise.  This depending on your credit card can be an issue as they are basically pre-authorizing double what you actually spent.  They only settle the final bill amount but it could max out your card with double preauth's depending on your spending and credit card limit.

No… just regular charge

So the charging method is like shopping at the mall, except he is pre-authorizing double what you actually spent, and if the credit card has cash back rewards, it can also apply?

The charge is listed as an entertainment charge
