Hi, can anyone who has done a cruise that stopped in Bali and/or Jakarta give any advice as to what visas were required for your cruise (for Australians)?  As usual there is confusion with regards to visas and we would appreciate any help.  Thanks in advance!

Australian passport holders are eligible for visa-free entry into Indonesia for tourism purposes for up to 30 days. This is often sufficient for cruise passengers making a short stop in Bali or Jakarta as part of their cruise itinerary.

Australian passport holders must get a visa through the embassy to stay in Indonesia for more than 30 days or for reasons not permitted by the e-VOA. Check this for more information https://www.indonesiavisaonline.com/visa-requirements/australian-citizens

  • 4 weeks later...

Non-extendable visa-free entry to Indonesia for 30 days is available to passport holders of Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

I don't see Australia on that list!

I think you need to complete the e-VOA tourist visa application.
