RetiredMom11 Posted March 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2006 I have searched this board and the Celebrity site but have not been able to find out what the penalty is if you have to cancel a cruise four months out. I am hoping there is none. Also how do you go about doing this and getting back the deposit? Thanks in advance for any help.
hancock Posted March 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2006 You won't have a penalty. Just cancel it now. Penalty's kick in at 90 days for holiday bookings and, I think, 70 days for the rest. Sorry you have to cancel.
gracecarmo Posted March 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2006 To get your refund, just call your travel agent. Or if you booked direct, call X. Four months out is 120 days, and I believe the penalty starts at 90 days, or the date of your final payment. Good luck.
RetiredMom11 Posted March 17, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted March 17, 2006 Thanks so much for the information. My daughter just found out she needs a c section and I just can't be floating around the Carribean when my first grandchild arrives!!! BTW when I do cancel, CCcabin7203 for Connie 10/27 cruise will be available....huge aft balcony. Well at least I can't go for a happy reason. Some other time, I hope.... Seabee Posted March 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2006 Hi Mom...I had to change (not postpone) my Med cruise this summer for the same reason! What a blessing!
RetiredMom11 Posted March 17, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted March 17, 2006 It sure is especially since she has had diabetes since she was 10. I'm thrilled but very nervous at the same time. Congratulations to you for your blessing that is on the way!!!
